About Us

The Cooperative Research Fund (CRF) is trust with a Board of Trustees registered under the Trustees Incorporation Act, CAP 318 of the laws of Tanzania R.E in 2002.

The main objective of the Fund is to mobilize resources, fund and coordinate research that responds to the needs of cooperatives and the cooperative sector at large.

CRF Objectives

The objectives of the CRF are to:

  1. Seek financial resources for financing research on cooperatives
  2. Coordinate and promote continuous action research on cooperatives
  3. Develop and promote innovative technologies and business practices through research
  4. To facilitate research which informs formulation of sound cooperative laws and policies

The Cooperative Research is managed by competent staff with sufficient knowledge on research and cooperative matters. The Fund has an independent board of trustees drawn from key cooperative support institutions as well as renowned research institutions; a technical committee, chief executive officer; and an accountant.

The workforce's professional integrity and competence is derived from its multidisciplinary academic and professional background coupled with vast working experiences on research and cooperative matters over the years.
